Blue Tooth Technology.... has anyone experienced this?

I've recently has two independent conversations regarding a leak in security with Blue Tooth connectivity.

One had said that they had picked up chatter on their earset via their handset... they had heard filthy jokes and inappropriate language. Is this wireless technology wholly secure?

Only when blue tooth is on can someone do something like that.

A girl I work with kept hers on often and had some dude send her explicit pics of himself, sends her messages often about he's got her number and will soon find out where she lives.

Thats kinds freaky knowing that blue tooth can be used against you!

I dont turn mine on if Im out in public at all anymore.
Reply:well im a programmer and a security master, and i gotta say NO, its not wholly secured! it can not be my dear friend, never and ever, cause nothing is perfect in this world. bluetooth is a technology created by human, how can it be totally perfect? yes the phreaking things can happen, being on frequency to hear the conversation can happen, bluetooth is cathable within 100 meters so you cant guarantee it! but ... less people can do it, its not something that everyone can do, cause you have to know about electronic much first and the encryption methods used by bluetooth and how to catch the packet etc. ...
Reply:I find with my bluetooths. that you have to pair the devices. you cant pair two devices to the same earpiece. the encryption being sent to the earpiece is changing so many times a second its almost impossible to be copied.

as for the pictures, if your set to discover or show to all, someone can send you pics or files. but you usually have to allow reception.

in closing i would doubt the source that heard the conversation of filthy jokes and inappropriate language.
Reply:Personally I don't think it is secure, cos my cousin had a similar situation, with his bluetooth, he said he was finding other people were listening into his conversations.
