i have a cingular lg and it has blue tooth on it i cant not get it to work i turned it on and have held it up close to oher blue tooth phones it wont work does any body have any tips on how to make it work

The directions should say something about putting the headset into sending mode (by holding the button down until the light continually stays on) and then putting the phone in pairing mode, which is done with the software in the phone. It will say that it is searching for devices. Then hold them close together and the phone should recognize it. Can you update with what phone model and bluetooth headset model you have? It would help.
