GPS, Blue tooth?

I am looking at buying a GPS (girmin - zumo 550). Its design for motorcycles. The question is: I want to be able to talk to my pasensger, both of us to be able to listen to the mp3 , hear the directions from the GPS, and be able to talk on the cell phone. I would like this in stero if possible. How do I make this work? Do I need to purchase a new helmet, cell phone, and a blue tooth devise? If you hqave product info that would be great.

GPS, Blue tooth?
Sure - lots of sport-tourers are doing all this these days. I have considered it, but with all the wired versions, it looks like a PIA. Fortunately the new Bluetooth capability resolves much of that. If you get the right set up, the stereo fades out when the cell phone or GPS kicks in.

There are good single options available to connect all these devices. I suggest getting an Autocom unit. They all interface with it. Nolan is now making a Bluetooth helmet, and they are great quality products. Marsee also makes some tanks bags to hook it all up inside. Brace yourself, it can get pricey if you want to do it right!

Just don't try to use them all at once!! ;-)
Reply:look into helmet accessories. u will find what u want in different prices.

These guys sell a blue tooth that attaches to your helmet. I don't know if they have anything that will do all the things you want. How many distractions do you need while operating a motorcycle?
Reply:How can I say this nicely?

Buy a car!

Make it a white one.
Reply:Holy cripe, are you looking to crash? Perhaps you want to install a waffle iron to make waffles as you drive down the road? lol

I understand the GPS, but if you are not careful having so many items at one time will get you in trouble. Studies show that even using your cell phone while driving is similar to driving drunk. And while you might survive a crash while driving a car, you might not on a motorcycle.

Well do as you wish, I would just get the GPS.
Reply:Ok. Ok. All right, I'm calm.

Why in the name of all that's unholy do you want all that? Are you seriously considering talking on the phone while riding?

Talking to your passenger is one thing, listening to the radio is another - neither of which I want to do. But talking on your phone?

For god's sake man, are you insane? Why do you even want a bike if you're going to burden yourself with all that?

Ok, rant over. I know that wasn't helpful to you, but I couldn't help myself.
Reply:...and interface it with your Blackberry and video patch it to the LCD screen on you GPS unit, then you can download movies and watch them while you're riding and you can tell your passenger not to talk during the love scenes. Not all that interested in riding, huh?
