Reply:First off; Bluetooth is a company that makes the Bluetooh wireless technology. The technology is like WiFi, but slower and and older the WiFi. It is used with notebooks, cell phones, Blackberry, PDA's, UMPC's, and almost any other device you can think of. It is used to share files, storage, internet connections, and other devices... Basically, it is a wireless standard use to network a wide varitiey of devices, NOT just cellphones and ear pieces.
Reply:Blue tooth is a short range (under 30') wireless technology. It is primarily used for wireless headsets on cell phones but has other limited uses as well.

It's been around since the mid to late 1990s but only recently took off on a broad scale when adopted by the cell phone industry for wireless headsets or wireless access to a phone's file system for uploading and downloading pictures or ringtones.
