XP can't find USB Blue Tooth Adaptor?

I have a blue tooth adaptor, Belkin F8T001 ver 2. I had no problem with hooking it up to my laptop which ran ME. Now, if I hook it up to the desk top running XP it recognizes a blue tooth but never quite sees the device.

I downloaded the latest drivers and software from Belkin and that doesn't seem to help. The unit appears to be working with the light flashing. The computer can't see it and the cellphone I'm trying to pair it with can't see it.

XP can't find USB Blue Tooth Adaptor?
I had the same problem with a similar model, must be a Belkin bug.

Try this.

Click Start %26gt;%26gt; Run .. and type devmgmt.msc to open device manager.

1. In Device Manager, right-click the "Belkin Bluetooth Adapter" and select "Update driver" (or the plus sign next to Bluetooth Devices)

2. Select "Install from a list or specific location Advanced)" -%26gt; Next

3. Select "Don't search, I will choose the driver to install" -%26gt; Next

4. There should be two options: "Belkin Bluetooth Adapter" and "Belkin Bluetooth Device". "Belkin Bluetooth Device" is not digitally signed. Select it and click Next.

It worked for me because it's a total pain in the proverbial :)
Reply:the socket or blutooth adaptor is broke or probably has a loose conection
Reply:Are you getting a Bluetooth icon in the tray? If not, it's not really installed, so reinstall it (Add Hardware wizard). If you are, remove it (in Device manager), reboot and let XP reinstall it.

It should install pretty automatically on first plug-in with XP. (It'll install the Microsoft driver, which leaves a lot to be desired - Toshiba and Widcomm are a lot better - but it should work, at least enough to pair a cell phone.)
Reply:You will need to configure it to "allow this device to be shown", right click the icon and choose options which will allow you to configure it, it will also let you open up the main dialogue which will allow you to search for the phone (provided you have the blue tooth feature turned on).

Bt900-d blue tooth device?

i have just bought bt900-d blue tooth device in connection with car radio handsfree kit. it say,s you can pair upto 4 phones on it. i have paired my 2 phones one a nokia the outher sony-ericsson. one phone will work as hands free, while outher phone will not.and vicer-versa.

Bt900-d blue tooth device?
You will only be able to use 1 phone at a time. as soon as the device see the 1st phone it will automatically pair with that device, until it goes out of range or is switched off. Then you will be able to use the second phone... and so on.

You cannot use 2 phones on the device together.

What is Blue Tooth?

What does Blue Tooth do? What are the benifits of having it?

What is Blue Tooth?
Bluetooth is a wireless communications protocol. The benefits to having it are that, if your computer has bluetooth, you can use it to synchronize with your computer and even transfer photos, ringtones and video clips from and to your phone all without wires. If you do not need this feature, you can also use bluetooth to connect a hands free earphone to your phone and talk about 33 ft. (10meters) away from your phone. There are also many other features to numerous to fully explain. Here's a link to the wikipedia article explaining in more depth.
Reply:Bluetooth is a short-range wireless connection that is common in mobile phones, computer mice, keyboards, etc. It is relatively slow in transfering data as opposed to WiFi, but works very well for voice and light data traffic.

Most often its used in mobile phones to connect to a wireless earpiece or to sync data with a computer.

It's very helpful if you do such things.
Reply:you can transfer files from your computer, or mobile to mobile.. headset thats about iit

Bluetooth creates what they call a 'personal area network' connecting all your techie toys that have it. I've seen it in cars, keyboards, mice, and especially cell phones.

Bluetooth lets these devices communicate with each other when they are in range. The devices use a radio communications system, so they do not have to be in line of sight of each other, and can even be in other rooms, so long as the received power is high enough. As a result of different antenna designs, transmission path attenuations, and other variables, observed ranges are variable; however, transmission power levels must fall into one of three classes:

Bluetooth is an industrial specification for wireless personal area networks (PANs), also known as IEEE 802.15.1. Bluetooth provides a way to connect and exchange information between devices like personal digital assistants (PDAs), mobile phones, laptops, PCs, printers, digital cameras and video game consoles such as the Nintendo Wii and Sony PlayStation 3 via a secure, globally unlicensed short range radio frequency

It just fits around and over your ear and you can talk, hands free and be heard by the other person on the other end and hear what they are saying to you. It is really neat and allows you to drive safer, do other things like dishes, or computer chatting or whatever you need to do.

You can't just download bluetooth to your computer. Its a little device that has to be like inside your computer. It's not a program. It's a piece of hardware.

After you figure out the device, then we move on to downloading software/driver for your PC....

What is blue tooth, infra red , card reader,?

I want to install all the above

please give detail about the above device,

how to down load songs to mobile using blue tooth

What is blue tooth, infra red , card reader,?
blue tooth is a wireless system device that enables u to b with ur pc when u r a 100m far from it.

infra-red is a remote control sytem data transaction system.

card reader can read ur mobile's/flash driver's card through the pc.
Reply:blue tooth is a wireless system device that enables you to send data from a pc or cellphone when u r a 100m far from it.

infra-red is a remote control sytem data transaction system. which dose the same thing but you have keep you mobile close to it...

card reader can read ur mobile files like songs video and sofwares stored in your memory card through the pc.
Reply:The bluetooth and infrared are two types of connectivity methods that are available in latest mobile phones for transfering or receiving data wthout any physical connection with each other through any cables, but purely wireless. This data transfer works if the two or more mobiles or PC( Bluetoth enabled) are within a distance of 100 metres. The less the distance the better and speedier is the data transfer.Bluetooth is more effective than infrared data transfer (my experience please)

.Infraread needs the both mobile phones to be very close .

Whereas the Card Reader ,as the name speaks reads the data cards of different types, for example your Digital camera memory cards, multimedia micro memory cards etc etc.So The card reader is a Physiacal device with a USB cable to connect to your PC for either transfering Data (text,Songs,Photoes etc etc ) to PC rom memory card or to memory card from PC if card has capacity to take that data ,that is there is free space in memory card.

Hope it is clear now.
Reply:Ok my friend

1) Bluetooth - is a wireless connectevity between mobile phone and pc...if u have bluetooth enabled mobile phone then get a bluetooth device connect it with ur pc and load cd which u get with that b.tooth device

U see some options on ur screen using that u can connect mobile phone with ur pc through B.tooth %26amp; u can load songs on ur mobile phone....

2)Infra Red- it is use as above....

3) Card reader-- it is a simple way to load songs on ur mobile phone... If ur mobile phone have external memory card then get USB card reader device then it connect to ur pc..

put ur mobile memory card in it load songs which u like

%26amp; enjoy it....

Configuration of Blue Tooth?

How do I configure my PC's blue tooth to find my cell phone or the other way around. Looking to upload my cell phone pictures to my PC.

Configuration of Blue Tooth?
Setting up connections

Any Bluetooth device will transmit the following sets of information on demand

Device Name

Device Class

List of services

Technical information eg: device features, manufacturer, Bluetooth specification, clock offset

Any device may perform an "inquiry" to find other devices to which to connect, and any device can be configured to respond to such inquiries. However if the device trying to connect knows the address of the device it will always respond to direct connection requests and will transmit the information shown in the list above if requested for it. Use of the device's services however may require pairing or its owner to accept but the connection itself can be started by any device and be held until it goes out of range. Some devices can only be connected to one device at a time and connecting to them will prevent them from connecting to other devices and showing up in inquiries until they disconnect the other device.

Every device has a unique 48-bit address. However these addresses are generally not shown in inquiries and instead friendly "Bluetooth names" are used which can be set by the user, and will appear when another user scans for devices and in lists of paired devices. Most phones have the Bluetooth name set to the manufacturer and model of the phone by default. Most phones and laptops will only show the Bluetooth names and special programs are required to get additional information about remote devices. This can get confusing with activities such as Bluejacking as there could be several phones in range named "T610" for example. On Nokia phones the Bluetooth address may be found by entering "*#2820#". On computers running Linux the address and class of a USB Bluetooth dongle may be found by entering "hciconfig hci0 class" as root ("hci0" may need to be replaced by another device name).

Class: 0x020005

Service Classes: Networking

Device Class: Miscellaneous,

Every device also has a 24-bit class identifier. This provides information on what kind of a device it is (Phone, Smartphone, Computer, Headset, etc), which will also be transmitted when other devices perform an inquiry. On some phones this information is translated into a little icon displayed beside the device's name.

Bluetooth devices will also transmit a list of services if requested by another device; this also includes some extra information such as the name of the service and what channel it is on. These channels are virtual and have nothing to do with the frequency of the transmission, much like TCP ports. A device can therefore have multiple identical services.

How much does it cost%26lt;What are some easy programing tips Like How can I create my own simPle Blue tooth Program.

What is Blue tooth?
Bluetooth is a low power short range radio communications technology for connecting equipment together when it requires relatively little bandwidth. Typical uses are for attaching PDAs to peripherals (I have a bluetooth GPS receiver semi permanently installed in my car) and connecting headsets to mobile phones. It opperates on the same frequencies as 802.11b/g but uses different spread spectrum encoding so that they can coexist even though the 802.11 uses vastly more power.
Reply:To me Blue tooth is like sony betamax

it's old junk that we don't need
Reply:Bluetooth technology is how mobile phones, computers, and personal digital assistants (PDAs), not to mention a broad selection of other devices, can be easily interconnected using a short-range wireless connection. Using this technology, users can have all mobile and fixed computer devices be totally coordinated.

What is blue tooth ? How does it work ? It is used for which purpose ?
Bluetooth wireless technology is a short-range communications technology intended to replace the cables connecting portable and/or fixed devices while maintaining high levels of security. The key features of Bluetooth technology are robustness, low power, and low cost. The Bluetooth specification defines a uniform structure for a wide range of devices to connect and communicate with each other.

Bluetooth technology has achieved global acceptance such that any Bluetooth enabled device, almost everywhere in the world, can connect to other Bluetooth enabled devices in proximity. Bluetooth enabled electronic devices connect and communicate wirelessly through short-range, ad hoc networks known as piconets. Each device can simultaneously communicate with up to seven other devices within a single piconet. Each device can also belong to several piconets simultaneously. Piconets are established dynamically and automatically as Bluetooth enabled devices enter and leave radio proximity.
Reply:Bluetooth is a short range radio frequency communications protocol that is used to transfer data between 2 linked devices that are enabled to send and receive data packets over that band. It is primarily used for wireless cellphone earpieces, but it can also be used for direct file transfer between two PC's, between a PC and certain Cellphones, etc.

You still need Motorola Phone Tools.

For ringtones, managing your address book, sending texts, etc. get Motorola Phone Tools. If you don't have a Motorola phone, get a P2K Program like P2kTools. To transfer games and java apps, use the program Midway.

Check out this site for tons of programs for accessing your pictures, music and video, modding your phone with games, ringtones, themes and backgrounds, as well as advanced modding for experts. It also has links to purchase the data cables you need.

It is used with notebooks, cell phones, Blackberry, PDA's, UMPC's, and almost any other device you can think of. It is used to share files, storage, internet connections, and other devices... Basically, it is a wireless standard use to network a wide varitiey of devices, NOT just cellphones and ear pieces.

It's been around since the mid to late 1990s but only recently took off on a broad scale when adopted by the cell phone industry for wireless headsets or wireless access to a phone's file system for uploading and downloading pictures or ringtones.

Can 2 computers be networked effectively with blue tooth?

Is it possible to network two computers with blue tooth?

I have two computers. Sometimes, I need Word or Excel file from the other computer. I use Pen Drive presently but I understand that it can also be done with the help of blue tooth. Can you tell me what do I require for it? One of my friends has told me that my computers may catch virus if someone in the neighbourhood uses blue tooth or electronic device. Is it correct? Please advise.

Can 2 computers be networked effectively with blue tooth?
yep u can do it, but for that you need 2 "Bluetooth dongal" adaptor. Which comes in 10mtr and in 100 mtr range.

Moreover your friend is right, it may be posible of getting viruse threw blutooth. In addition viruses never install automatically, it only install if you click download or install button. So better never install or download any softwares or files if you are not expect to get that files
Reply:I don't recall the data rate, but blue-tooth is very slow. You would be better off picking up a $39 router at walmart, or even getting a crossover RJ45 and linking the PC's directly, assuming they both have a network card.

i'm not very knowledgeable with high technology. there's no blue tooth feature on my toshiba laptap, how will i put it? do you just buy that blue tooth device %26amp; connect it to your computer? or is there a way to program it on your computer? thanks!

How can i put blue tooth on my laptap?
You need to purchase a Bluetooth adaptor. For your laptop, either a PCMCIA Card or a USB one will do. Then load the drivers that come w/ it and you're on your way.
Reply:you have to buy a usb bluetooth dongle, their about £50 i think. it comes with a cd which you can install the device and set it up e.g. pair it with your mobile. then you can use it whenever you want

Where do you get blue tooth songs at?

Ok my sister has a phone that has blue tooth on it. We were wondering where you get blue tooth songs at becuase someone had to start from some where.

Thanks

Where do you get blue tooth songs at?
You can't get bluetooth songs. there's nothing like that. But you can transfer any song via bluetooth from device to device and also from PC having a bluetooth dongle and software installed.
Reply:What are bluetooth songs?

There is Bluetooth which is a wireless technology and Songs which is music, but the two don't intertwine.

Cell Phone help with blue tooth?

Ok I have a SamsungT509 not a real fancy phone but it does have blue tooth. My brother blue toothed me some mp3 ringtones and it will not let me save them as my ringtone. It will however let me save them as my alarm tone? Any one know why and how can I fix this?? thanks I am really not that "savy" with cell phones so explain it to me please!

Cell Phone help with blue tooth?
Im not sure what service provider you have, that is probaly what matters more than anything. Some phones have it locked so that you can not use mp3's as ring tones, but you have to purchase the actualy ring tone. Other phones if the mp3 is more than so large of a file or so many seconds long, it will not let you use it as a ring tone. It really depends on the service provider and the phone.

How to makea cingular blue tooth work?

i have a cingular lg and it has blue tooth on it i cant not get it to work i turned it on and have held it up close to oher blue tooth phones it wont work does any body have any tips on how to make it work

How to makea cingular blue tooth work?
The directions should say something about putting the headset into sending mode (by holding the button down until the light continually stays on) and then putting the phone in pairing mode, which is done with the software in the phone. It will say that it is searching for devices. Then hold them close together and the phone should recognize it. Can you update with what phone model and bluetooth headset model you have? It would help.

GPS, Blue tooth?

I am looking at buying a GPS (girmin - zumo 550). Its design for motorcycles. The question is: I want to be able to talk to my pasensger, both of us to be able to listen to the mp3 , hear the directions from the GPS, and be able to talk on the cell phone. I would like this in stero if possible. How do I make this work? Do I need to purchase a new helmet, cell phone, and a blue tooth devise? If you hqave product info that would be great.

GPS, Blue tooth?
Sure - lots of sport-tourers are doing all this these days. I have considered it, but with all the wired versions, it looks like a PIA. Fortunately the new Bluetooth capability resolves much of that. If you get the right set up, the stereo fades out when the cell phone or GPS kicks in.

There are good single options available to connect all these devices. I suggest getting an Autocom unit. They all interface with it. Nolan is now making a Bluetooth helmet, and they are great quality products. Marsee also makes some tanks bags to hook it all up inside. Brace yourself, it can get pricey if you want to do it right!

Just don't try to use them all at once!! ;-)
Reply:look into helmet accessories. u will find what u want in different prices.
Reply:http://www.cardowireless.com/index.php

These guys sell a blue tooth that attaches to your helmet. I don't know if they have anything that will do all the things you want. How many distractions do you need while operating a motorcycle?
Reply:How can I say this nicely?

Buy a car!

Make it a white one.
Reply:Holy cripe, are you looking to crash? Perhaps you want to install a waffle iron to make waffles as you drive down the road? lol

I understand the GPS, but if you are not careful having so many items at one time will get you in trouble. Studies show that even using your cell phone while driving is similar to driving drunk. And while you might survive a crash while driving a car, you might not on a motorcycle.

Well do as you wish, I would just get the GPS.
Reply:Ok. Ok. All right, I'm calm.

Why in the name of all that's unholy do you want all that? Are you seriously considering talking on the phone while riding?

Talking to your passenger is one thing, listening to the radio is another - neither of which I want to do. But talking on your phone?

For god's sake man, are you insane? Why do you even want a bike if you're going to burden yourself with all that?

Ok, rant over. I know that wasn't helpful to you, but I couldn't help myself.
Reply:...and interface it with your Blackberry and video patch it to the LCD screen on you GPS unit, then you can download movies and watch them while you're riding and you can tell your passenger not to talk during the love scenes. Not all that interested in riding, huh?

What blue tooth ear pieace can i use to listen to music from my iphone's ipod?

i have an iphone along with an apple blue tooth. i cant seem to figure out how to listen to music through my apple bluetooth head set and if i cant do this with an apple bluetooth what bluetooth earpieces can i listen to music with and make and recieve calls?

What blue tooth ear pieace can i use to listen to music from my iphone's ipod?
The iPhone's bluetooth headset doesn't support music playback. You'll need to get a bluetooth adaptor and a bluetooth head set compatible for music playback or A2DP to listen to music. Sony and Motorola make them
Reply:Dude... i have an apple bluetooth and it doesnt work to to listen to music.. just calls and listen to messages
Reply:Another way Apple is duping the masses.

A2DP can be run on the iphone but Jobs inc. has not allowed the software.

Hopefully sooner then later the A2DP patch will be released and we can listen to wireless stereo headphones. The ones that I used to listen to 2 years ago on windows mobile 5.0 HTC phones (older versions of the AT%26amp;T Tilt).

...for the record, the iphone is suppose to be a music player. Without A2DP it fails at that.
Reply:Unfortunately, there is nothing that you can buy to allow this as it is not supported.
Reply:If nothing else, you can use the headphones that came with the iphone since it has a built in speaker in it so you can talk on the phone, as well as use it to listen to your ipod

RAZR blue tooth pin number...?

I'm trying to transfer media via blue tooth to my RAZR and it is asking for a PIN number... Does anyone one know what it is?

RAZR blue tooth pin number...?
when you try to connect to a device with your blutooth and the other device has set up a security code you will need the password from the device you are wanting to connect to before your phone can connect to it.

Example:

If you want to connect to a computer and the bluetooth is on, and has a password in use. When you try to connect your phone by bluetooth.

First you turn on the bluetooth on the phone. Then click search for device.. Then the search begins then it will ask you to add the device and you choose OK you may get a screen that ask for the device or password code. The code is set on the computer and you need to match with the one you enter in the phone to obtain access to the other device

If you don't have this, there is a hack that works on some phones call Super bluetooth it is a hack and can be found some where some where on one of these two sites:

I haven't tried it yet, however I did see it there.

Reply:either 0000 or i think ur sim card pin but most likely 0000
Reply:Youve just got to use the same number as the other person i usually use "0000" youve both got to use it though hope it helps xx
Reply:gave it a pin that u will remember e.g 1234 , then when it pairs to the other device , that device will ask for pin ,then u enter that exact pin u gave earlier 1234

Does blue tooth use more or less power on a call???

I know that the bluetooth uses alot of battery when u are idle, but does it also deprive the battery life when on a call? i have a plan that lets me talk unlimitedly and i use the phone hours on end but does useing the bluetooth on a call rather than the actual phone save or use more battery? I turn the blue tooth off when im not on call and on only when i am bc i know that deprives the battery but on a call for an hour or two helps or hurts my battery life?

Does blue tooth use more or less power on a call???
it uses more power on a call.

but since you're using bluetooth and not tethered to your phone, try charging it while you're talking on the bluetooth

=D
Reply:whaaat ?

i dont know what you are talking about
Reply:If you leave the bluetooth on you phone activated all the time, it WILL shorten the battery life. When bluetooth is activated, you phone is constantly searching for a bluetooth signal so it will obviously shorten the battery life a little. Just turn it on when you need it.

Is blue-tooth headset harmful for our body?

Are the rays coming in %26amp; out from blue-tooth devices (Headsets%26amp; Hand phones) harmful for our body %26amp; brain??

pls i need answers with facts.. bcos I'm interested in buying a bluetooth headset but not sure whether the radiation is harmful or not!!

Is blue-tooth headset harmful for our body?
Who knows, who cares? Is the radiation from your microwave harmful? Or the that from your normal cell phone? We all have to die from something. Live a little and buy yourself the blue tooth headset. I have one and trust me it's well worth the money and the convience. Once you use it once, you won't be able to go with out it. I love mine.
Reply:No more than regular waves from your radio. There is no proven medical fact that they are harmful. A microwave's radiation is more powerful than a bluetooth headset's and we can use those safely. As far as I know, the Phone's radiation is a little bit higher than the headset's, so I wouldn't worry about it. I've been using bluetooth for over a year now with no adverse effects. Say, since you're in the market, wanna buy mine? I have an extra one.
Reply:There are a lot of newer type technologies that haven't really been tested on this type of thing as yet. Mainly because it takes many years to run the sort of research that is required to see if it is harmful or not.

What good is blue tooth technology on a laptop??

I bought my first laptop and it has blue tooth on it but I dont know how I can get the most out of blue tooth or if its worth anything on the laptop.

What good is blue tooth technology on a laptop??
It is a fast and wireless way of exchanging files with your mobile phone or any other bluetooth device.. I mostly use it to transfer files such as themes and pictures to my mobile phone..

Hope this helps %26amp; good luck,
Reply:It allows you to connect to certain wireless devices. The ones you'll see the most often are cell phones and mice. If you have a cell phone with data service it's nice to have because you can use the internet connection of the phone on the laptop.
Reply:Yes you can do a lot with it such as:

sync your cell phone and or PDA

have a wireless mouse (bluetooth complatible of course)

connect to other PCs in range (quick connect for quick exchange of data)

have some other bluetooth gadgets
Reply:After years of promises to revolutionize the computing world, wireless technology is finally making its way into meeting rooms and offices around the world. What is this new technology and how can it help you meet more effectively?

Bluetooth and Wi-Fi

The two major players in wireless options right now are Bluetooth wireless technology and Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11). Both are international standards that operate on radio frequencies.

Bluetooth was originally developed by Ericsson, a Swedish phone company, but then became an industry standard that is now available to everyone. The technology is named after Harald Blåtand (translated to Harold Bluetooth in English), a Danish king who united Denmark and Norway. Bluetooth promises to unite the computing world and so the name was chosen.

Bluetooth products contain a tiny short-range radio that allows products like cell phones, printers, laptops, handheld PCs and peripherals to talk to each other without cables. The technology has a range of 30' (9 m) and doesn’t draw much power from the device it is installed in.

Wi-Fi, also a radio technology, was developed by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. This technology is faster than Bluetooth, has a range of 75–150' (22.5–45 m) in an office and up to 1000' (300 m) in open areas, and requires a greater amount of power.

Both technologies allow you to use your computer, peripherals and network without cables – but the benefits they offer are different.

Wireless Benefits

How great would it be to walk into a meeting room, turn on your laptop and connect to the network wirelessly? You could instantly share documents with other meeting attendees, print any important documents without disrupting the meeting to connect to the printer and more. Wireless technology means colleagues can connect and share information seamlessly.

Although Bluetooth and Wi-Fi offer similar solutions there are differences to consider before purchasing either technology for your meeting room.

Bluetooth technology is a great cable-replacement technology because it draws less power and has a shorter range than Wi-Fi. With Bluetooth you would no longer need cables for your mouse, printer, keyboard or other peripherals.

Wi-Fi, with its longer range and larger power draw, is the best option to wirelessly connect larger devices such as your computer and a network. In bigger devices the larger power draw lets you exchange data without a noticeable change in speed and users can be further away from the modem. However, for smaller, battery operated devices, Wi-Fi’s larger power draw isn’t as useful because it will quickly drain their power supply.

Bluetooth is the lower-cost option – it is expected that adding Bluetooth to products will raise the cost by US$10. Wi-Fi, on the other hand, could raise the cost by US$35 per product.

Make your technology versatile, by buying products such as laptops and pocket PCs that have both technologies installed, so you can choose when and where to use either technology.

Go Wireless!

There are currently over 800 licensed Bluetooth solutions and over 500 Wi-Fi products. Companies such as Intel, Microsoft and Toshiba offer products that are equipped with either Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or both.

You may not go wireless overnight, but if you slowly introduce the technology into your meeting rooms you could find that your meetings become more productive. No more wasting time searching for cables and setting up multimedia equipment. Access all the files, appointments and tools you need – tangle-free!
Reply:Blue tooth may seem to be a word related to tooth decay or something , but actually its not. Blue tooth is a upcoming technology which are commercially used in mobiles and other devices. If you take a printer, mouse or keyboard,if it has to be connected with your system you need to have cables. Most of the offices, cables are plenty and occupy not only space and gives office a bad look.

Popular upcoming technology bluetooth can be called as cable replacement technology why because the chip inside bluetooth is designed to take the information normally carried by the cable and it transmits the information in a special frequency to the receiver. Then the receiver will transmit information to the system.

Why would you choose Blue tooth?

Let me answer this:

Blue tooth is the only proven technology for short range communication in the market where more than 500 million units of Blue tooth technology products has been installed, you can imagine the volume of requirement for blue tooth products

Nowadays most of the latest technology mobiles have implemented Blue tooth technology, key to blue tooth technology popularity are mobiles, because mobiles have become a part and parcel of human life.
Reply:I use a bluetooth mouse and transfer file to my phone with bluetooth..
Reply:Bluetooth is wireless technology, and with it, you can use wireless devices like a mouse or keyboard. Bluetooth is good to have because you don't need to worry about untangling wires, and things like that.

i have just installed lime wire on my computer but i can listen to songs move them about in the computer but cant seem to get them on my phone i have my blue tooth on and a blue tooth pluged in the computer that is flashing so it must b working

How do i blue tooth things from my computer to my Mobile?
You'll have to set your phone to search for your pc, then it should transfer no problem.
Reply:read the instructions or look online
Reply:you have to go into the blue tooth option on the phone and hit find device it should find your computer
Reply:Where your manuel....read it
Reply:you need to reboot your computer then go into the bluetooth settings and swich it back on then the program will be installed correctly
Reply:There should be a installation CD that came with your mobile phone handset and a USB lead that connects to your computer. Turn your Bluetooth on on your mobile and then just follow the instructions in the handset manual.
Reply:relatively easy just plug in your blue tooth device to your comp install the blue tooth drivers if you already have nt done so most phones have their own pc sync softwares switch blue tooth on for your phone and search for blue tooth devices and establish a connection with your comp it becomes easy sfter that you either get a temp drive or your sync software starts up then just copy the songs into the appropriate folders in the drive

P.S limewire sucks big time try ares or a bit torrent software such as azureus
Reply:You need to buy a blue tooth 'dongle' for you computer. This fits into a USB port on your 'puter and you connect it to your mobile the same as you would your friends phone.

Once you have installed the software you are then able to create a folder with all the songs you wish to transfer.

Blue tooth dongle costs circa £12. Should be available in most electrical/computer/mobile stores or off e-bay.

Have fun.
Reply:Unless, technically secured, Blue Tooth, when switched on, is prone to mobile hijacking and connected security hazards, when working in "slave - master" mode. Only the "slave" side is vulnerable. However, there is no hazard when working in "master - master" mode. Consult your local technical expert, preferably from the field of "academics." I stressed "academics" because market people are, quite often, prejudiced because of various constraints.
Reply:go on your phones bluetooth settings select search devices when your com comes up select pair device enter pin eg 0000 same on the com and its done

Using Motorola Razor Blue Tooth to send songs?

My cousion and I were trying to connect our Blue Tooths to send each other songs and ringtones however we could only get the phones to connect once. Does anyone know how to get them to find each other? Also do they have to be the same phones or can you connect to anyone with Blue Tooth?

Using Motorola Razor Blue Tooth to send songs?
well acctually it doesn't matter wether you have same phones or not, bluetooth works with any device wich also has this option.

Maybe your songs were too big (size) that it just didn't work?

Check your free memory and try again..

good luck

And don't forget to turn the bluetooth on both phones (acctually on the one who would accept file is enough, the one who would send it will do it automatically)
Reply:Depends on your wireless provider.

most do not allow music/photos/videos to be sent directly from one phone to the other. They cripple the bluetooth capabilities in order for you to use their features which they charge $$$ for.

Blue Tooth Technology.... has anyone experienced this?

I've recently has two independent conversations regarding a leak in security with Blue Tooth connectivity.

One had said that they had picked up chatter on their earset via their handset... they had heard filthy jokes and inappropriate language. Is this wireless technology wholly secure?

Blue Tooth Technology.... has anyone experienced this?
Only when blue tooth is on can someone do something like that.

A girl I work with kept hers on often and had some dude send her explicit pics of himself, sends her messages often about he's got her number and will soon find out where she lives.

Thats kinds freaky knowing that blue tooth can be used against you!

I dont turn mine on if Im out in public at all anymore.
Reply:well im a programmer and a security master, and i gotta say NO, its not wholly secured! it can not be my dear friend, never and ever, cause nothing is perfect in this world. bluetooth is a technology created by human, how can it be totally perfect? yes the phreaking things can happen, being on frequency to hear the conversation can happen, bluetooth is cathable within 100 meters so you cant guarantee it! but ... less people can do it, its not something that everyone can do, cause you have to know about electronic much first and the encryption methods used by bluetooth and how to catch the packet etc. ...
Reply:I find with my bluetooths. that you have to pair the devices. you cant pair two devices to the same earpiece. the encryption being sent to the earpiece is changing so many times a second its almost impossible to be copied.

as for the pictures, if your set to discover or show to all, someone can send you pics or files. but you usually have to allow reception.

in closing i would doubt the source that heard the conversation of filthy jokes and inappropriate language.
Reply:Personally I don't think it is secure, cos my cousin had a similar situation, with his bluetooth, he said he was finding other people were listening into his conversations.

Blue Tooth Technology, What is it?

Most latest phones are associated with the so called Blue Tooth. What is this? How does it work?

Blue Tooth Technology, What is it?
Bluetooth is a wireless standard. On Cellular phones it is used to have a wireless connection between your phone and a device such as a headset (those little roach looking things people put in their ear and talk to). Some wireless providers will even allow you to use the bluetooth wireless technology to sync your phone to your computer (providing your computer has a bluetooth transceiver).

However Bluetooth technology is used on all sorts of electronic devices (laptops, PDAs, phones, etc...) anything that has a need to communicate with something else could use bluetooth as a wireless means of communication. For instance I have a laptop computer with a wireless mouse and a wireless portable printer (both use bluetooth as their wireless standard for communication). It is a very interesting technology which is based on digital encryption broadcasted across low bandwidth radio frequencies.
Reply:ok im not sure but ive been told u put it on your ear and its like a speaker and u can speak on it and answer you phone on it
Reply:I think it's a feature that allows faster and better internet, T.V. and music capability.
Reply:Blutooths are like signals that cellphone and other hardwares use to communicate with each other. You can transfer files from phone to phone using blutooth capable phones without fees or you can connect your phone to your blutooth-capable PCs or Macs.to transfer informations or files like audio, videos, pictures, address books, and contacts. Even notes.
Reply:its where you have a wireless headset or printer and you click something on your phone and it prints or yuo can have your phone in your pocket without wires to your headset kind aneat but expensive in a way
Reply:it is a wireless reciever that plugs into your cell phone, it transmits a signal to a tiny hands free earpiece that you use to make your calls.
Reply:blue-tooth uses RF to allow wireless communication from phone to headset, pda to computer; etc it is all about being wireless....it is still new and fairly flawed like you have to have the phone within 2 feet of you for it to work properly
Reply:Bluetooth is a technology that provides a way to connect and exchange information between devices like personal digital assistants (PDAs), mobile phones, laptops, PCs, printers and digital cameras via a secure, globally unlicensed short range radio frequency.
Reply:To make it simple, blue tooth is the technology whereby different devices are connected by a wireless network.

Read below:

Bluetooth is an industrial specification for wireless personal area networks (PANs), also known as IEEE 802.15.1. Bluetooth provides a way to connect and exchange information between devices like personal digital assistants (PDAs), mobile phones, laptops, PCs, printers and digital cameras via a secure, globally unlicensed short range radio frequency.

The name Bluetooth was born from the 10th century king of Denmark, King Harald Bluetooth (whose surname is sometimes written as Bluetooh), who engaged in diplomacy which led warring parties to negotiate with each other. The inventors of the Bluetooth technology thought this a fitting name for their technology, which allowed different devices to talk to each other.[1]. The name of the king in Danish was Harald Blåtand and the Bluetooth logo is based on the H and B runes.

Reply:Blue Tooth technology is a uper level of RF modulation (Radio stations) it sends out a signal in a very high gigaherz signal almost impossible to tap into or recive interference on

think of it as a walkie talkie on steroids
Reply:Bluetooth is a wireless communication device ... it is used to comunicate between any two devices having bluetooth technology ... but I don't really know how it works ... search for it
Reply:Blue tooth is a narrow range of frequency that is not controlled by any governemt. As such, you can use it for your own broadcasts. Many people use it for their own network.
Reply:blue tooth is a wireless tchnology that allows you to use headsets and many other devices at short range mainly for mobile phones but can be used for computers and anything that is compatable I know of a freind that has his whole computer system done this way no wires to printer etc but he can afford it (single)
Reply:bluetooth is a standard for wireless communications between specially equipped devices. This allows for hihg-speed data transfers, as well as high quality audio transmissions over the air between 2 or more devices within range of eachother. In layman's terms, bluetooth allows you to use wireless headsets with your cellular telephone, as well as give you the ability to send data( e.g. photos, music, video, even phone numbers) between two phones or between your phone and pc.
Reply:It is a way for electronic items to talk to each other. A bit like inferred
Reply:Basically you can send videos and pictures and ringtones on it. But you have to turn the bluetooth on when your not using it, or it can be hacked into and use all your credit or upload viriuses.
Reply:Magic !
Reply:bluetooth is a way of wireless communication beetween two diffrent devices like a phone and a laptop or a hands free device
Reply:it is the work of a genius
Reply:Its a short distance high frequency radio signal that communicates between devices that support that technology, once you pair two or more devices together they communicate between each other allowing information to be shared between each other, its a bit like 4 people using their phone to have a phone conference, you can all hear each other at the same time. The distance is very short usually only about 10m from each device. I use a bluetooth headset for my mobile phone, which is nice as there are no wires, only radio waves.
Reply:Just for information:

The name Bluetooth refers to the Danish king Harald Blåtand (Bluetooth) who unified Denmark and Norway in the 10th Century.

In the beginning of the Bluetooth wireless technology era, Bluetooth was aimed at unifying the telecom and computing industries
Reply:it's wireless technology, dumbass grampa
Reply:most of the preceeding is correct. You can even make a wireless network with Bluetooth.

Blue tooth and infra red?

what is the defference between blue tooth %26amp; IR

Blue tooth and infra red?
Unlike IR bluetooth signals can go through walls and long distances and they can be use for more than just remote control (earpeice, gps, cellphone connectivity, ect...)

IR can only be used for remote control for electronic appliences.

Blue tooth annoying looking?

do the majority of blue tooth users think they look important with those silly things in their ears....unless they are driving I think they look stupid.......most people do too

Blue tooth annoying looking?
Honestly, who cares?

If they want to wear them (whether they are talking or not) is up to them. Some people think baggy pants look stupid or tight pants (like on cowboy guys from Texas) looks gay. It's all about choice.

For future advice on "BlueTooth" which happens to really impress me, and I am not impressed too often. My first purchased in December 2007, Motorola H700, was an excellent first time unit but speaking to friends, clients, girlfriends, etc. all said I faded at times and wind or crowded places was difficult as well.

I met a Navy friend, he is still in, I am retired, at the Atlanta airport during a layover he had. During our conversation we got on the subject of the great "BlueTooth" technology. We compared my H700 to his Navy issued Jabra Jawbone. He said he always was clear at both ends.

When I got home I went to www.CNET.com, reviewed as one of the best. I ordered from TigerDirect.com, at first was not impressed, but I noticed something, no one complained about outside noise, fading, even in crowds I could hear clearly as well as those I was talking to said I was very clear. I have been using for a month and love it. My mom had problems hearing me on the Motorola H700 due to her bad hearing anyway, but since I have been calling from the Jabra she hears me clearly with no, "I cannot hear what you said".

Very happy Motorola H700 user at $40.00, now more than extremely satisfied with the Jabra Jawbone, $89.00. Plantronics makes a superb unit as well but I cannot stand something actually stuck in my ear as many of their better models do.
Reply:Hi,

Normally when you try to pair a phone with a PC using a bluetooth adapter, the PC and the phone will both ask you to set a passcode. There is no preset passcode, just enter a "0" at both ends and you should be set up straight away. ;)
Reply:I believe default for dongle %26amp; phone will be 0000 - it is on my dongle and three different phones of two different makes.

Any body know how to unlock the blue tooth on a sprint phone?

i have a samsung m-300 sprint phone with blue tooth on it. i have the blue tooth on.but nobody's phone can send me stuff. the sprint store said that they limit the blue tooth in their phones. but my friends have told me that there is no way they can block a blue tooth since they have no control over it. is there a way to get around sprint and unlock it ?

Any body know how to unlock the blue tooth on a sprint phone?
I think this belongs to the mobile phones, not Land Phones. :) Sprint can not lock your bluetooth, BUT it all depends on the bluetooth version on the M300. It might not be compatible with all the devices you are trying to pair it up with. Also, consider the type of information you are trying to send/receive. The M300 is a very basic device, so I doubt you would be able to transfer anything other than the audio stream to a wireless headset, or a contact from your contact list.

Blue tooth. BMW. Hows it work?

My 2002 BMW X5 has a blue tooth set up on it but i cant figure out how to work it. My phone wont find it and i have no idea what the buttons in the car mean. Anyone help me with a site with the manual or something? It was supposed to have a seperate manual just for it but its gone.

Blue tooth. BMW. Hows it work?
Push the "Off Hook" button (looks like the phone is off the hook), and it should automatically start the phone guide voice...she'll talk you through the options.

What you want to do is "Pair Phone" which you can use the radio knob to turn through the selections, or simply push the voice activation button and say "Pair Phone."

She will walk you through the rest...

Good luck ...

Blue tooth problems....?

My boyfriend sent me file transfers of MP3 ringtones through blue tooth from his blackberry pearl to my motorola SLVR.

How do i find the ringtones? I searched in the MP3 player, the sounds, and went to change the ringtone and it wasn't listed.

My sister does this all the time with her motorola razor and has no problems... any suggestions?

Blue tooth problems....?
If you are using Verizon, there is no way to send any type of file thru Bluetooth.

If you are using Cingular, it should be in the Sounds menu. If the actual name of the file/song is not there, look for a filename like ~S07AA or something along those lines.
