Blue tooth adapter dongle?
If you install it properly, both your comp and phone will ask you for the passkey, enter the same code on both machines and you can get started.
Reply:I have had two makes of BlueTooth and both passkey's were "0000".

For future advice on "BlueTooth" which happens to really impress me, and I am not impressed too often. My first purchased in December 2007, Motorola H700, was an excellent first time unit but speaking to friends, clients, girlfriends, etc. all said I faded at times and wind or crowded places was difficult as well.

I met a Navy friend, he is still in, I am retired, at the Atlanta airport during a layover he had. During our conversation we got on the subject of the great "BlueTooth" technology. We compared my H700 to his Navy issued Jabra Jawbone. He said he always was clear at both ends.

When I got home I went to www.CNET.com, reviewed as one of the best. I ordered from TigerDirect.com, at first was not impressed, but I noticed something, no one complained about outside noise, fading, even in crowds I could hear clearly as well as those I was talking to said I was very clear. I have been using for a month and love it. My mom had problems hearing me on the Motorola H700 due to her bad hearing anyway, but since I have been calling from the Jabra she hears me clearly with no, "I cannot hear what you said".

Very happy Motorola H700 user at $40.00, now more than extremely satisfied with the Jabra Jawbone, $89.00. Plantronics makes a superb unit as well but I cannot stand something actually stuck in my ear as many of their better models do.
Reply:Hi,

Normally when you try to pair a phone with a PC using a bluetooth adapter, the PC and the phone will both ask you to set a passcode. There is no preset passcode, just enter a "0" at both ends and you should be set up straight away. ;)
Reply:I believe default for dongle %26amp; phone will be 0000 - it is on my dongle and three different phones of two different makes.
