You can pick up you calls and you can hear the caller from your car speakers, and talk to a smal mic hidden somewhere next to the dashboard. How sick is that? :)
Reply:Basically it would give you the capability to make hands-free calls from a bluetooth enabled phone.
Reply:so that you have your handsfree to drive.......

they say that even if you use a bluetooth headset or the bluetooth in the car speakers that you're still just as distracted as when you have the phone to your ear.........

it's up to you if you wanna spend that kind of money, I'd say take the cheaper route and buy a bluetooth headset.......

remember the "old days" when car phones were built in to cars and they ran thru the speakers of the car so the person didn't have to hold that big chunky thing to their ear..... this is sorta like that, but your cell phone will link up to your cars speakers instead of being hardwired into the car..... it's convenient so your hands aren't holding a phone, but I don't think it's necessarily worth it............
Reply:In addition to what has already been said, another big advantage to having an integrated bluetooth system in the car audio is that it will automatically mute the music audio while switching to the phone audio; which would otherwise require you to manually mute the music audio (if you have a bluetooth headphone).

Also, in most cases you can view the caller id (or the number/name to be called from your addressbook) on the audio system display, without having to look at the phone display. This works even better when you have a windshield projection display (then you wont have to look away from the road at all!!!).
Reply:a bluetooth in the car cd player is worth the extra money only when you have a handset supports bluetooth.for instance you can use it to play music from your phone or change tracks etc.if you have a vcd in your car it can play videos too......
