My partner and I are trying to use our own blue tooth. Why do they sometimes link to the wrong phone?

We both have the same model phones and blue tooth accessories. Is it a proximity thing?

First of all you may want to create names for the phones - not as weird as it sounds, trust me. What u do is go into ur features/settings under bluetooth, depending on the kinda phone u have and where it asks u to enter name, do so. That way whenever u try to bluetooth and ur phones search for the nearby devices, u'll know exactly whose phone was located by the names that are returned. You may also consider setting both phones as trusted devices - this eliminates u having to do a search each time.
