My friend thinks he can control a computer remotely with blue tooth on his phone. Wtf is he talking about?

Okay so I was talking to my friend today, and he was like "yeah on my phone's bluetooth menu I have this thing called remote control. i think that means I can control a computer remotely on my phone with blue tooth if I accept a dialogue on the computer". his phone isn't really nice either, it's just like some sony ericson slider phone. it's not like a pocketpc or a smart phone. i was like wtf no... you can't do that, but he seriously thinks he can control a computer with bluetooth from his phone, just by accepting a pop up on the computer, without even installing any thing else on the computer besides a blue tooth receiver and the basic windows blue tooth program. please some one tell me i'm right so i can tell him to shut up cuz he thinks i'm an idiot for not believing him....

It does exist, and it works. Its on every bluetooth SE, and I have it on my w810, so YOU can shut up, not to be mean or anything. :) Anyways, it controls the mouse, the windows key, and the directional buttons.





PS: his phone is the w580 if you're wondering.

Reply:Your mate is partially right, he can control the mouse and remote control with his phone but the computer he is trying to hook up to must be configured to accept his phone as with all devices. you can download a program that can control a PCs mouse but it cant do anything else. I have a nokia and it does that, it becomes a wireless remote control for the PCs TV card and for slide shows. You can surf the net with blue tooth but the range is very limited. Next time ask him to show you if he cant then tell him to Shut Up or put your money where your Mouth is, put 20$ up and say its yours or you give me 20$ if you cant!.
